Shipping Policy

This page is dedicated to making our shipping policy as clear as possible for our customers. Our overall objective is to have your order delivered to you as quickly as humanly possible.

To keep things simple, we offer Free Shipping across Australia on all orders over $300 excluding GST. Where the value of the order is less than $300 excluding GST, the standard charge is $40 excluding GST.

The majority of our products fall into the category of Dangerous Goods for shipping purposes and so we are required to ship with freight companies that specialise in shipping Dangerous Goods and because of the procedures required to comply with regulations the cost is higher. The cost also increases for more remote locations. In those instances, we reserve the right to contact you to advise of the actual costs of shipping to your location and to agree on an appropriate course of action.

If there is a shipping charge (for expedited shipping, for example), we are not in business to ‘profit’ from shipping; you are charged what we are charged.

Delivery Times

The following table sets out the expected lead time from receipt of order to delivery by the freight company. The lead times reflect the expected transit times, in business days, for the freight companies that we use. If the customer uses their own freight company, the lead times may vary either way. If your order is urgent, it is advisable to call us to confirm the expected delivery date and any steps that can be taken to ensure delivery by the due date.

Note 1 The lead time assumes the order is received after 10 am EST and so the order is despatched from our Sydney warehouse on the afternoon of the day following receipt of the order. Business days exclude the weekend and public holidays.

Note 2 Queensland is a large state and as such delivery times to regional areas vary significantly depending on the end destination. If your order is urgent, please call to confirm the expected lead time from order.

Note 3 Shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The range for regional SA varies widely because of the remoteness of some of the towns. . If your order is urgent, please call to confirm the expected lead time from order.

Note 4 The lead time for delivery to Tasmania is compounded by the need to ship via water and as such, our freight company fill shipping containers by compatible Dangerous Goods type and ship once the container is full. As a result there can be a significant lead time from order to delivery.

Note 5 Shipped on Tuesdays and Fridays.

We are closed on Saturday and Sunday, so no orders are shipped out on the weekends.

Most orders received before 10 am EST are despatched on the same day. Orders received after that time are despatched the next working day. The exceptions to this are:

  • High order volume exhausting our on-hand stock necessitating product manufacturing. In this instance the lead time to despatch may increase by 2 working days as some products require curing before decanting and shipment. In those instances, we contact the customer to advise of the potential delay.
  • Some of our raw materials are from overseas suppliers and there have been instances of delays in delivery of those raw materials for a number of reasons including delays at the shippers end and also delays at the Australian customs clearance end. In those instances we contact the customer to advise of the potential delay.

Shipping out of stock items

Sometimes we run out of products that we sell before we can show them as out of stock on our website. When an order is placed and a product is out of stock, we will attempt to contact our customer by both phone and email. This allows you to decide if you would like to wait for the product, change the order, or cancel the order all together. If contact cannot be established, we will keep the order live until the product becomes available and ship it then.

Delivery Addresses

Ideally someone should be available to take delivery of your package from our courier. If this may not be possible we require you to provide us at the time of ordering with clear instructions detailing where to leave your package at the nominated delivery address.

It should be noted that:

  • A suitable person to accept delivery is someone over the age of 18 years old. In some circumstances proof of age may be required.
  • The location for the package to be left should be sheltered from the elements, away from children and animals, in an area not seen directly from the street.
  • Any package left under your instructions become your responsibility immediately upon the courier leaving them at your specified location.
  • If the courier does not consider the specified location suitable for whatever reason the package will be returned to the courier depot. In this event further charges may be made.
  • If no suitable person is available to take delivery and no suitable location at the delivery address has been supplied the package will be returned to the courier depot. In this event further charges may be made.
