Following a caustic clean in food processing plants 

  1. Use at concentrations of 0.15% to 1.0% depending on the level of soiling, the process run time and temperatures. 
  2. Circulate for 15 to 30 minutes at 60°C to 80°C. 
  3. Thoroughly rinse with potable water.

Cyndan Nitric 45 is an economic and phosphate-free acid for removing scale and brightening stainless steel surfaces.  It is a fast-acting, high-performance CIP acid detergent, that removes calcium scale and carbonate deposits from processing equipment. 

In the dairy and food processing industries, Nitric 45 should be used after a caustic wash with a suitable caustic cleaning agent such as Cyndan SINGLEX or SLEDGE.
